How about using this as our communications platform rather than Facebook? Just testing it to see how it works.

I think they could potentially serve different purposes. The facebook group could be public and open as an easy way in for folks wanting to find out more. Its easy for sharing info and links to local stuff. Whereas this could be a discussion place for those already involved? I think trialling things and seeing how they work might be a good way forward.
